I've read a coouple of reviews that had negative comments. Hard to drink out of, leaks, too heavy, dribbles down chin, hard to get lid on in right direction, etc. I don't understand them. I poured hot water in, put lid on, turned upside down, shook... No leak other than a couple of drops initially that were on the lid. Not that heavy, coffee inside is heavier. It's as easy to drink out of as any tumbler I've ever had and I tend to buy new ones all the time just because I see a cool one, I have nine Yeti's in different styles and colors and too may Starbucks tumblers to count by memory, at least 25, this so far is my favorite. And so far no dribbles down my chin. But so far have not filled with Vodka. The lid is awesome. set on top of tumbler 1/4 turn to the right of where you want to drink from and turn 1/4 turn left, done. If you've used the standard tumbler with the magentic tab, this one is slightly different, push down on the front while sliding back. Just as easy and keeps it from leaking or accidentally sliding back (though not sure that's even an issue. Another review claimed they couldn't get four fingers in the handle. I can't either but I prefer only three and my little finger under the handle for support. I hold all of my tumblers / mugs that way. I Really Really like this tumbler and uinless I chip the powder coating some how, may not need to buy another tumbler for atleast a few months when the next cool one shows up:-( I must have an addiction.

I don't love how heavy this mug is, and the fact that I have to brew 2 cups to fill this thing up with my keurig. But, if I'm taking it to go and won't drink it right away, my coffee stays hot til I get to my destination, so far up to 30 minutes before starting to drink. It's cooler because of the milk, and by drinking, you diminish how long it stays quite hot. I'd say drinking slowly, it's nice and hot up to an hour. With tea, that beverage will be too hot to drink for a long time, remove lid, let cool down, then enjoy. Some people said the tab on the lid came broken. Well, mine was loose as well. But the tab is magnetic, stick it onto the lid and it's just fine. They actually sell the tabs in different colors, so if you want to buy accessories, you can change the tab color easily. It was a bit confusing to figure out how to drink from it, as you have to first push down on the tab then push it away to be able to drink. Easy enough to get used to, but a little more time consuming. Fits in car console perfectly. I'm keeping it, but a 20 oz mug is a bit too big for my preference, and I wish it weren't so heavy. It's ridiculously pricey for a coffee mug, but if you wanna feel trendy with some Yeti gear, a mug might be all you can afford, and it's quite usable. I did like all the color options, but the mug with handle was not an available option at my local REI, so I ordered on Amazon. Same price and I could actually order what I wanted.

I have the old version of this and it works pretty good so I thought I would try the new version. The new version is extremely heavy and has a very small handle even for my hands. I’m 5 foot tall, small bond with small hands and I still have to cram my four fingers into that handle. Plus the new one is extremely heavy! There is a gigantic difference between the two. Because of this issue I have dropped this cup many times when I never dropped the other one. The new cup is a screw on cap. It’s a little difficult to take on and off just because there is not much group area. When I have tipped over this cup or dropped it sometimes the magnetic closure pops off and all the liquid spills out. The old model was attached and slid back-and-forth which I would prefer. As far as cleaning goes I use a stiff bristle brush to get into the crevices. I also have to take off the gasket because it collects a lot of God knows what. If I could I would return it but it’s far too late to do that.
5.0 out of 5 stars I use it every workday. It keeps my drinks hot and gets compliments from colleaguesReviewed on June 17, 2022
I use this every day for work. I bring coffee usually, but sometimes tea. Either way, it keeps my drink hot from 5 AM when I fill the mug until 10:30 or 11:00, when it's still warm and drinkable. The mug itself has no trouble fitting in the cup holder on a 2017 Honda CR-V. It also fits, but not quite as nicely in the cup holder on a 2019 Subaru Forester. Mind, I mean the center console cup holders. This will not fit in the door cup holders. It also fits in the fold down arm rest cupholder on the 2017 Honda CR-V. I haven't tried it on the Forester yet. The green is really, really nice. It's a great forest green and reminds me of the green used to paint Army vehicles. Green is one of my favorite colors, so maybe I'm biased, but it's really well done. I haven't dropped it or anything, but there hasn't been any chipping or damage as a result of normal hand washing after months of use. I feel like this is one of those mugs that I could use until I lose it, or until Yeti stops making replacement gaskets for the plastic lid. Pro tip: before you remove the gasket on the lid to wash it for the first time, make sure you look to see how it's positioned so that you don't have any issues putting it back on. It's not designed in a way that it's intuitive to put it back and if you don't place the gasket back on there the right way, it's going to leak. As long as you have the seal on correctly and the magnet locking thing on top is closed, it's not going to leak. Often, my hands will be full and I'll have the mug hanging almost parallel to the floor from two fingers as I walk to my car. The only time I had an issue was when I first removed and washed the rubber seal and put it back on the wrong way. This is a purchase that you won't regret and I'll definitely be buying more Yeti mugs in the future, as additions, not replacements.

I make coffee for my husband every morning and I really appreciate how easily the top screws on the mug. My favorite feature is it goes in the dishwasher. My husband likes how it keeps coffee warm and doesn’t leak. He especially likes how it fits in the console cup holder. We both like the design. Yes, I’ll probably have to get him an additional mug. We first saw this mug at a Christmas gift exchange. Everyone loved it.
